Hiking
there are close to 150 miles of hiking trails in the Delaware State Parks.
- In Cape Henlopen State Park features the Pineslands Nature Trail which begins at the Seaside Nature center and covers a little over a mile.
- Hikers can enjoy the bald cypress trees at Trap Pond State Park.
- Other good hiking areas:

- Swamp Forest Trail at Lums Pond State Park
- Fort Delaware State Park has has trails that lead to a wildlife observation tower
- Tulip Tree woods has 14 miles of hiking trails
Biking Paths and Trails
The Southern Delaware Heritage Trail has close to 130 miles of biking paths. The trailgoes through the towns of Seaford, Milton, Greenwood and Laurel.
There are about 50 miles of biking trails along the bay that end at Fenwick Island.
You can borrow bikes at the Seaside Nature Center in the Cape Henlopen State Park based on availability.
The American Discovery Trail (coast to coast) passes through Lewes Delaware.
Bicycle Route One goes from Northern Delaware starting at Brandywine Creek State Park and goes to the beach resorts of Fenwick Island State Park.
Bellevue Bikeway is at Bellevue State Park in Northern Delaware
White Clay Creek State Park has about 10 miles of biking trails.
